Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Product Development Manager, where you will play a crucial role in facilitating the entire product development lifecycle. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about bringing innovative products to market and gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. You will play a critical role in maintaining effective communication with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor and Supplier Management:
  • Support the development process by liaising with vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners to ensure the timely delivery of components and materials, as well as finished goods.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies through daily communication and weekly conference calls. Calls in the evening with vendors as needed in the Asia time zone.

Project Management And Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and drive projects forward, monitoring product development projects from initiation to completion.
  • Work closely with other departments including sales, marketing, designers, and finance to align development activities with overall business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and progress reports.
  • Generate regular status updates for internal stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential roadblocks.

Communication And Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between various teams to facilitate effective communication and information flow.
  • Schedule and organize meetings to facilitate collaboration, ensuring that project goals and objectives are clearly communicated.

Market Research

  • Contribute to market research activities to identify trends, competitor products, and customer preferences.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market findings to inform product development strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, product design, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years minimum) in product development, project management, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese to streamline communication with vendors with limited English proficiency a must.
