WeatherNation has a position for a Technical Director (TD)/Editor to manage the production of both a live and recorded studio environment. This position will ensure that all equipment/facilities are checked out and ready prior to recording sessions/live broadcasts. Other responsibilities include switching video sources, performing live digital effects and transitions, and insertion of pre-recorded and live material and graphics as instructed by the Producer. The TD has responsibility to provide input into the creative side of the production on both the video and audio aspects of the programming. The TD is responsible for the technical quality of the signal being recorded or broadcast and will use various measuring devices and displays to ensure quality control. This position requires a flexible schedule which may include weekends or early morning shifts. You must have the ability to work assisted and unassisted as necessary in a deadline driven environment.
We are expanding this position to also encompass Editing duties as well so familiarity with Adobe in regards to cutting and editing field packages from raw data is preferred. This is a very fast paced live studio environment so the ability to think on your feet is a must. Salary Range: $17.50-$22.00/Hour
